At Camelot Homes, our architectural style has always been classically influenced, but we are continually looking into what is new and fresh; design trends that will complement our homes and are conducive to luxury living in the desert cities in which we build.
One of our signature features is a focus on outdoor living spaces. When you take into account Arizona’s natural desert beauty and cool autumn nights, extending the space where we live into the open air seems obvious. After being confined all summer by closed windows and air conditioning, who can resist the opportunity to throw open the doors and dine al fresco? Whether it’s for Sunday brunch, cocktails under twinkle lights, or cozying up in a chair by an outdoor fireplace, we continue to find new ways to draw people out of doors.
Our latest foray into the world of outside living is the authentic iron and stone pizza oven, one of our favorite amenities in our newly completed Verandah home. Imagine entertaining in this courtyard while joining together to create and cook a pizza with friends.
Another trend we enjoy is banquette seating in the kitchen. We have on occasion segued this contemporary look into a home we’ve done and the outcome was stunning. The banquette brings a fashionable twist to the traditional kitchen table. We look forward to sharing our newest twist on this design element in our upcoming model at Camelot Reserve.
And although we focus on staying abreast of trends, we can’t help but return to our roots by polishing conventional Southwestern decor into sophisticated interiors which seamlessly integrate the old world with the new west. We have worked for years with journeyman blacksmiths to create unique fixtures for our homes which provide state of the art functionality and old world charm. In our Verandah model these elements have all been combined to a stunning effect.
