August 1, 2016
The Valley is home to many of the country’s most exclusive properties, which makes our local arts and entertainment scene one of the best around. As we head into August, there are dozens of exciting events to choose from that will surely make this summer one to remember.
Whether you’ve previously attended one of these mainstays or they are entirely new to you, these favorites are definitely worth checking out.
One of Scottsdale’s favorite pastimes, join your neighbors each Thursday evening in the downtown Scottsdale arts district from 7 to 9 p.m. to take in the vibrant contemporary art of the southwest. The event is free.
Every Friday afternoon, head down to the exclusive Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa to experience the original culture of Arizona firsthand. This event is free and open to public.
What goes better with an exclusive property but a classic car or two to put in the garage? To get some ideas for your next purchase, stop by The Pavilions at Talking Stick for the longest running car show of its kind. Each Saturday between 4 and 8 p.m., you’ll be able to see hundreds of classic cars and motorcycles.
Every Friday throughout August, this popular evening of music delights attendees gathered at the Virginia G. Piper Theater.
This exhibit is a collaboration between artist Nathaniel Lewis and the Scottsdale Library. Running through the end of the month, it gives visitors a unique opportunity to experience archaeology, fossils, local history and much more.
Also going until the end of the month is the exhibit of the artwork of Lone Wolf (Hart M. Schultz) at Scottsdale’s Museum of the West. This definitive retrospective shows the career of a truly important artist of the West.
Whether you’re interested in taking up a new sport or just want to enjoy watching horses and their riders perform feats, reining combines speed, agility and excellent training to create an event that’s a whole lot of fun to watch. The Inside Slide is from Aug. 16-21 at WestWorld of Scottsdale.
Can you think of a better way to cap off August and get ready for September than with a four-course dinner prepared by SOL Mexican Cocina? The dinner is paired with cocktails and tastings of tequila. This can’t-miss event takes place on Aug. 31.
Wherever you choose to go this month, we hope you make time to visit our exclusive properties to get a feel for what a Camelot Homes life looks like!
