Plan for Success
A few weeks before Thanksgiving, sit down and create a game plan. Choosing recipes and laying out your menu in advance gives you a head start. In doing so, you’ll feel relaxed when the big meal rolls around.
Making shopping lists, organizing seating layouts and sending out invites ahead of time will also reduce your stress level and ensure that you’ll have time to get your luxury home ready for Thanksgiving guests. You may even want to use an online menu planner to stay organized.
Shop and Cook Early
Don’t leave shopping until the last minute. Instead, try to get to the store at least a week in advance. This way, not only will you beat the crowds, but you will also have a better selection of ingredients for all your holiday dishes.
You can also prepare other menu items ahead of time. For example, a few days beforehand, chop any vegetables you will be serving, make cranberry sauce and bake all desserts. You’ll be glad you did!
The Day Before
Reserve Wednesday for prepping final ingredients and getting your luxury home ready to receive guests.
